How to Cook Air-Fried Prawn Paste Chicken Wings

 


Ingredients

  • 300 grams mid-joint chicken wings (or drumlets)
  • 2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
For marinade (A)

  • 1 tablespoon prawn or shrimp paste
  • 3/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon shaoxing wine
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, combine the marinade ingredients (A) untill a paste is formed. 

  2. Marinate chicken with the sauce for at least an hour or overnight.

  3. Just before deep-frying, add corn flour to the marinade chicken. 

  4. Stir to coat evenly, shaking off excess flour on the chicken.
  5. Preheat air fryer at 180'C (356'F) for 5 minutes. 

  6. Lightly brush chicken pieces with olive oil. 

  7. Arrange chicken one layer on the fryer basket and slide the basket into the airfryer. 

  8. Set timer and air fry for 8 minutes. 

  9. Pull out the tray, use tongs to turn chicken pieces over and set timer for another 7 minutes. 
  10. Drain cooked chicken on paper towels before serving.\
