How to Cook Seafood Hor Fun


Ingredients

  • 400 grams thick rice noodles Hor Fun
  • 150 grams chicken breasts
  • 4 pieces prawns, deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 stalks baby Shanghai green vegetables
  • 1 egg
Sauce Mixture
  1. 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
  2. 2 teaspoons light soy sauce
  3. 1 1/2 teaspoons corn starch (mixed with 2 tablespoons water)
  4. 1 1/2 teaspoons fish sauce
  5. 500ml chicken stock
Instructions
  1. Mix all the sauces together. 

  2. Heat pan / wok till slightly smoky.
  3. Add in oil, then add the hor fun noodles and 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce. Fry it untill it turns brown on the edges. 

  4. Remove the noodles. 

  5. In the same pan, add cooking oil and chicken pieces.
  6. Add chopped garlic, followed by the prawns. 

  7. Add in the chicken stock and bring it to boil. 

  8. Add the baby green vegetables and stir in the corn starch solution. 

  9. Let it simmer for approximately 2 minutes. 

  10. Add cooked hor fun noodles and mix with the gravy. Add in the egg (optional)

  11. Serve it immediately.
