How to cook French Beans Stir-fried with Minced Pork in Soy Bean Paste


Ingredients

  • 150 grams french beans
  • 50 grams minced pork
  • 1 tablespoon finely minced salted radish
  • 1 tablespoon dried shrimps, soaked till soft, drained & chopped 

  • 0.5 clove finely minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon oil (for stir-frying)
Seasoning

  • 1/2 tablespoon fermented soy bean paste
  • 1/2 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 dash of ground white pepper
  • 50ml of water
Instructions
  1. Trim the stems off the french beans, cut into halves or 2 inch (5cm) lengths. Wash and drain. Set aside.
  2. Heat up 2 tablespoons oil in the pan over high-heat. Add the minced garlic, salted radish and dried shrimps. Stir fry it till fragrant. 

  3. Add the minced pork and continue to stir fry it untill the pork is cooked through. Keep breaking up the minced pork as it cooks into smaller pieces.

  4. Add the french beans together with seasonings. 


  5. Continue to stir-fry it untill the french beans have softened and liquid has reduced considerably. Add a little more water and continue to let braise. 

  6. Dish out onto a serving plate and serve it hot.
