How to Cook Fried Rice (Version 1)


Ingredients

  • 1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg (whisked) 

  • 1 small Onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas (thawed)
  • 1 cup cooked & chilled rice 

  • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • sliced spring onions (for garnishing)
Instructions
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter into a large skillet. 

  2. Add the eggs and scramble it untill fully cooked. Remove tt from heat and set it aside. 

  3. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter into the pan. Add frozen peas and onions to it and cook untill tender for about 3 to 4 minutes. 



  4. Add in the cold rice and saute it for 3-4 minutes. The rice should brown up a bit. 

  5. Add the eggs back to the pan and stir is soy sauce, oyster sauce and sesame oil. 



  6. Cook it for 1-2 minutes to heat through. 

  7. Serve the dish immediately with green onions for garnish.
