How to Cook Broccoli and Mushrooms in Oyster Sauce

 


Ingredients

  • 1/4 bunch broccoli, in pieces
  • 1/8 lb mushroom, sliced
  • 1/4 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1/8 cup water or cup of chicken stock
  • 1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil 1/2 tablespoon oyster sauce
Instructions
  1. Clean the broccoli
  2. Trim off flowers into bite-size pieces, lightly peel broccoli stalks and slice into diagonal medallions.
  3. Heat wok on high heat. Add the oil. When it becomes hot, add the broccoli. Stir fry it rapidly untill it is covered in oil. 

  4. When the wok is no longer oily, add a splash of chicken stock. Continue to fry it constantly for 3 minutes. Replenish the chicken stock whenever the wok becomes dry. 

  5. Toss in the prepared mushrooms and the garlic. 

  6. Add in the garlic and half of the oyster sauce. Stir and cover it and allow it to simmer at medium-heat 2 minutes. 

  7. Serve drizzled with the remaining oyster sauce.
