How to Cook Steamed Tofu with Preserved Radish

 


Ingredients

  • 1/2 block white beancurd
  • 1/2 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1/2 shallot, chopped
  • 10 grams preserved radish, soaked and chopped
  • 25 grams minced meat
Marinade for Meat

  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornflour
Seasonings
  • 0.25 tablespoon vegetarian oyster sauce
  • 0.15 teaspoon sugar
  • 0.06 teaspoon ground white pepper
Garnishing

  • 0.25 stalk spring onion, diced
  • 0.25 chilli, sliced
Instructions
  1. Place the block of tofu on a deep steaming plate. 
  2. Marinate the meat with salt, sesame oil and cornflour for 30 minutes. 

  3. Heat up 1 tablespoon cooking oil. 

  4. Add in chopped shallots and saute it till fragrant. 

  5. Then add in soaked radish and stir fry it till aromatic. 

  6. Add in the minced meat and fry it till it is separated and turns white. 

  7. Add in the seasoning and continue to stir fry it till it is well-mixed together. 

  8. Remove the cooked mince meat and place it over the beancurd. 

  9. Prepare the steamer by bringing water to a boil. Place the beancurd onto it and steam on high heat for 10 minutes. 

  10. Remove it from the flame. 

  11. Top the plate with chopped spring onion and red chilli. Enjoy!
