How To Cook Ground Beef and Shrimp Fried Rice

 


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 onion, finely diced
  • 1 lb raw shrimp meat
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups frozen diced carrots, peas & corn
  • 3 cups leftover cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup finely sliced green onions
  • 2 eggs, lightly whisked
Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Chinese cooking wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a large wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the eggs and cook it. Stir it gently so that it becomes gently scrambled. Remove it from heat and set it aside. 

  3. Season the shrimps with salt and pepper. Add vegetable oil into the same pan and cook the shrimps on each side for 2 minutes or untill they turn pink. Remove from heat and set it aside. 
  4. Heat vegetable oil in the same pan over high heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook it for 30 seconds. 

  5. Add beef and cook it, breaking it up for 2 minutes untill the meat is no longer raw. 

  6. Add 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce and cook it for 1 minute. 

  7. Add the frozen vegetables and cook it for 2 minutes or untill the beef is nicely caramelised. 
  8. Add the rice, cooked shrimps and the remaining 1 tablespoon light soy sauce. Toss it for 2 minutes untill the sauce is well-combined.


  9. Add the scrambled eggs and green onions, giving it a quick toss. 

  10. Divide the servings between bowls or plates.
