- Batang fish cleaned, scales removed sliced
- 1 vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 tablespoons light soy sauce, divided
- 1/2 tablespoon Oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2-3 tablespoons water
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the fish with salt, pepper and 1 tablespoon light soy sauce. Let them marinate for 15-30 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium-high heat in a pan.
- Add light soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), sugar and water to the pan. Bring the sauce to a simmer and allow it to thicken slightly.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve it with rice.
