How To Cook Chicken Soup With Drumsticks



Ingredients

  • 1/2 to 1 onion, peeled and chopped
  • 2-3 cloves garlic. peeled and chopped
  • 1 kg or 2.2lbs chicken drumsticks & wings
  • Your personal mix of vegetables such as carrots, celery stalks or leek
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for cooking
  • cold water to cover all the ingredients 
  • seasoning eg.fresh parsley leaves, lemon juice or dill
Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot or saucepan over medium heat.
  2. When it gets hot, add the chopped onion and garlic into the soup pot and cook untill starting to soften. 

  3. Add the chicken drumsticks, salt and pepper. 
  4. Brown the chicken pieces on all sides.

  5. Once all the chicken has browned, pour over cold water to cover it. 

  6. Bring it up to boil and allow it to simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours or untill to your liking. 
  7. Remove the chicken pieces from the saucepan. Shred the meat from the chicken bones and return them to the soup. 


  8. Serve as is or blend to create a smooth and creamy soup.
