How To Cook Braised Prawns

 


Ingredients

  • 500 grams prawns, cleaned and remove the shrimp thread
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 3 slices ginger
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • sliced scallions for garnish
  • 3 gloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cooking wine
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
Instructions
  1. Heat oil a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the prawns and stir-fry them untill they turn pink.

  3. Add ginger, garlic and scallions. Stir-fry it untill fragrant. 

  4. Mix white pepper, sugar, light soy sauce and cooking wine in a small bowl, Pour the sauce mixture over the prawns and stir-fry them. 

  5. Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to low. Simmer it for 5 minutes. 

  6. Transfer the prawns to a serving plate and garnish it with scallions. Serve it with steamed rice or noodles.
