How To Cook Chinese Cabbage Soup

 


Ingredients

  • 250 grams chicken drumsticks / pork ribs
  • 1.5 litres of water
  • 1 corn on the cob, cut to large chunks
  • 2 carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 3 dried scallops
  • 200 grams cabbage, torn or sliced to smaller pieces
  • salt to taste
Instructions
  1. Blanch pork ribs / chicken drumsticks in a pot of boiling water for a few minutes. Remove them and rinse with cold water. Set aside.
  2. Add blanched pork ribs/ chicken drumsticks, carrots, dried scallops, corn and 1/5 litres of water in a soup pot. Bring it to a boil. Reduce heat and allow it to simmer for 30 minutes. 

  3. Add cabbage and boil it for 10-15 minutes till the cabbage leaves are soft and translucent. 
4. Season with salt if needed. 

5. Serve it hot with a bowl of rice and enjoy.
