Ingredients


- 3 pieces pork ribs in bulk, cut into chunks
- 8 red dates
- 1 large daikon or radish, cut into small chunks
- 2 large carrots, sliced
- 1/2 head of romaine lettuce, chopped or shredded
- 1 teaspoon fish sauce
- white pepper
- light soy sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the pork ribs. Place them into a pot. Add enough water to cover them bring it to aboil over high heat. Let it boil for 1 minute and turn off the heat. Drain out the water with all the scum. Rinse them under cold water 2-3 times.
- 5 cups fresh water to cover the pork ribs. Bring it to a boil. Turn it down to low and allow it to simmer for 30 minutes.
- Bring the soup back to a boil. Turn it down to a simmer and let it cook for 1 hour or untill the daikon is tender and soft.
- Enjoy the soup hot with a bowl of rice on the side.
