How to Cook Sweet corn Pork Ribs Soup



There are two methods of cooking this healthy soup, using either a stove-top or a crock pot slow cooker.

This dish has lots of nutrients from its ingredients, where it is highly beneficial for one's health, especially the heart. It also contains omega fatty acids which helps in reducing heart-related issues.

Ingredients (3 - 4 servings):

  • 1200ml of water
  • 500grams pork spare ribs
  • 2 sweet corn on the cob (husked & chopped into chunks)
  • 2 medium carrots (peeled & cut into chunks)
  • 1 yellow onion (optional, chopped)
  • 4 garlic cloves (do not peel or mash them)
  • salt (to taste)
Recipe by using a Stove-top

Blanch pork & all the ingredients (except salt) into a large saucepan.
Allow it to boil and simmer it over low heat for 40 to 50 minutes.
Season to taste with salt.

You can warm the soup dish in a thermal pot for about 2 hours before it is ready to be served.

Recipe by using a Slow-cooker method

Instead of using 1200 ml of boiling water (as specified in the ingredients' list), add only 900ml .

Add blanched pork & all the ingredients (except salt) into the slow-cooker. 
Set it to "High"  mode for 2 to 3 hours and allow it to simmer at "Low" untill it is cooked.

If necessary, you can top up a small amount of boiling water.
Season to taste with salt.
