Cooking this recipe for the first time, it is amazing how a few simple ingredients can be flavorful. The cooking method of stir-frying makes spinach fresh and green and you can smell the aromatic dish with garlic added to it.
Ingredients
600 grams Spinach
200 grams minced pork
Seasoning (mix with minced pork)
- Oil
- Sugar
- Corn Starch
- Light Soy sauce
Seasoning (for Cooking Spinach)
- Oil
- Pounded Ginger
- Salt
- Water
- Sugar
For Stir-Frying Minced Pork
- Garlic
- Oil
- Corn Starch
- Water
Instructions
- Add 1/2 tablespoon of oil, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon corn starch & 2 teaspoons of light soy sauce to the minced pork. Mix it well all together.
- Remove the root of spinach.
- Rinse the spinach and cut it into halves.
- Bring it to a boil over high heat.
- Add 1 tablespoon of oil, a slice of pounded ginger, 1 teaspoon salt, 8 cups of water & 1 teaspoon of sugar into the wok.
- Add the spinach when water starts to boil. Cover it well with a lid.
- Dish up the cooked spinach after 5 minutes. Discard the water.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil and a pounded garlic over medium heat.
- Add 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce. Prepare 1/2 tablespoon of corn-starch water +1/2 cup of water. Mix it well and add it to the minced pork immediately. Add a little bit water to thicken the sauce if it is too dry.
- Ready to be served on the table!
