How to Cook Stir-Fried Spinach with Minced Pork


Cooking this recipe for the first time, it is amazing how a few simple ingredients can be flavorful. The cooking method of stir-frying makes spinach fresh and green and you can smell the aromatic dish with garlic added to it.

Ingredients

600 grams Spinach 
200 grams minced pork

Seasoning (mix with minced pork)
  • Oil
  • Sugar
  • Corn Starch
  • Light Soy sauce
Seasoning (for Cooking Spinach)
  • Oil
  • Pounded Ginger
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Sugar
For Stir-Frying Minced Pork
  • Garlic
  • Oil
  • Corn Starch
  • Water
Instructions
  1. Add 1/2 tablespoon of oil, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon corn starch & 2 teaspoons of light soy sauce to the minced pork. Mix it well all together. 
  1. Remove the root of spinach.
  2. Rinse the spinach and cut it into halves. 
  3. Bring it to a boil over high heat.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon of oil, a slice of pounded ginger, 1 teaspoon salt, 8 cups of water & 1 teaspoon of sugar into the wok.
  5. Add the spinach when water starts to boil. Cover it well with a lid.
  6. Dish up the cooked spinach after 5 minutes. Discard the water. 

  7. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil and a pounded garlic over medium heat. 

  8. Stir-fry the minced pork for about 1 minute. 
     

  9. Add 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce. Prepare 1/2 tablespoon of corn-starch water  +1/2 cup of water. Mix it well and add it to the minced pork immediately. Add a little bit water to thicken the sauce if it is too dry. 

  10. Put the cooked minced pork on top of spinach. 

  11. Ready to be served on the table!

How to Cook Chinese Steamed Egg


This is one of the most comforting food for many children and a time-saving dish for house cooks too. A traditional recipe which can be found all over in China. There are only a few basics ingredients, such as eggs and water, where you can achieve its delicate flavor and velvety texture.

Garnished with chopped spring onions (or scallions) and drizzled with a few drops of light soy sauce is irresistible. It may sound easy to learn but you need to master the skill to cook it perfectly well.

Ingredients:

  • 300 ml warm water
  • 3 large eggs
Seasonings:
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon chicken stock granules
Garnishing:
  • 1 teaspoon light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fried garlic with oil
  • 1 tablespoon scallions (chopped)
Instructions
  1. Crack 3 eggs in a large bowl.
  2. Beat the eggs lightly and slowly add in warm water.

3.Add seasonings and mix well.
4. Strain the egg mixture into a shallow heatproof bowl.
5. Gently place the bowl onto a steamer stand. 


6. Cover the lid and steam it over low heat for 10 minutes.


7. While waiting, fry minced garlic till it turns golden brown in oil & set aside.


8. Garnish the dish with scallions, fried garlic, light soy sauce over the egg custard and serve it hot on the table.

How to Cook Chicken Macaroni Soup

 


On a rainy day the best way to escape from the cold is to eat delicious hot food. Making this scrumptious hearty soup is easy to prepare, with hardly any trouble at all. This chicken macaroni soup recipe is packed with winter vegetables and nutritious vitamins. It is hugely popular because it is a delicious light meal ideal for breakfast. It is also recommended as an easily digestible, recovery food for kids who catch a cold or sick and people with a hangover. 

Ingredients

For making chicken broth

  • 2 chicken breasts (you can use any type of meat)
  • 200 grams elbow macaroni

  • 4 pieces chicken hotdogs (or Chinese sausages)
  • 2 small sized carrots (diced)
  • 2 cups shredded cabbages
  • 2 stalks celery (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 medium-sized Onion
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • canola oil
  • salt
  • pepper
Instructions
  1. Put chicken breasts in a pot. Add 4 cups of water, season it with salt and pepper. Boil it for about 10 to 15 minutes. Set aside the chicken broth. Shred the chicken.
  2. In a much bigger pot, heat some canola oil. 

  3. Saute onion and garlic. 

  4. Add in the hotdogs, shredded chicken, carrots and celery. 

  5. Pour in the chicken broth. Add more water if needed. 




  6. Pour in the elbow macaroni, season it with fish sauce, salt and pepper. Allow it to boil for about 8 to 10 minutes. 

  7. Pour in the evaporated milk. Cover it for one minute. Remove the lid cover and let it simmer for another 1 minute. 

  8. Add in the shredded cabbages and allow it to simmer for another minute.
  9. Dish is ready to be served on the table.
