How To Make French Toast

 


Ingredients
  • 6 slices of white sandwich bread
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons of butter 
Egg Mixture
  • 2 large eggs
  • 125 ml of milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 
Serving
  • Maple syrup butter
Instructions
  1. Whisk together egg mixture in a bowl. 

  2. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Dunk a piece of bread quickly into the egg mixture, coating both sides of it. Then place it in the pan. Repeat with more slices to fill the pan. But avoid overcrowding it. Best to do2 or 3 pieces at a time. 

  4. Cook it for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes on each side untill the surface turns golden, then transfer it to a serving plate.
  5. Add more butter into the pan and cook the remaining bread.
  6. Serve it with butter and maple syrup (if you like). Or strawberries & 1 tablespoon of white sugar.

  7. Alternatively, you can pick your choice of toppings such as kaya, sardine, jam or peanut butter. 

  8. Serve and enjoy.
